On Thursday, the Steeler Women’s Association announced that the brand’s women-owned apparel business will begin to sell through Walmart and online retailers.
“The steelers brand will continue to be a staple in our community,” said Shannon Davis, executive director of the Steeling Women’s Community Coalition.
“We look forward to continuing to provide women’s choices in a safe, secure, and ethical way.”
Steelers is one of a number of major retailers to start offering women’s-specific apparel.
Walmart and other online retailers such as BH Cosmetics and Gap have also begun selling their own women’s wear.
Walmart is also expanding its offer of apparel to women, including the first women-specific clothing line, the Walmart-exclusive line of women’s shoes and a women’s shoe line.
