The average price for women’s and children’s clothes in the US increased 7.6% from January through May.
The increase was attributed to the holiday shopping season, which also saw a 5.3% increase in merchandise.
This year, a total of 8.3 million women’s dresses, skirts, dresses, dresses and other women’s apparel items were sold in the United States.
The average cost of a women’s suit was $31.30, up from $27.70 in 2015.
Women’s pants, skirts and dresses sold in US retailers for the first time this year were also up, increasing 8.2%.
However, the average price of men’s pants was down by 4.5%.
Women’s shoes, skirts or dresses were up 1.6%, while women’s shoes and skirts sold in women’s boutiques, malls, department stores and other retailers were up 3.4%.
The average number of women’s accessories sold per day in US retail rose to $2,934, up 2.9%.
Women spent $2.75 for a dress, up 3% from the same period last year.
A total of 3.5 million women bought shoes in stores in May.
A record $2 billion was spent on men’s shoes in the first six months of the year.
